Nature of request
The people of Ellington state that their vill and its associated lands are outside the bounds of the forest, according to the last perambulation, and the charter made as a result of this, but that the ministers of the forest in Huntingdonshire are attaching them for vert and venison and inflicting other hardships upon them, as they did before the perambulation. They ask that the King might order these oppressions to cease, and that the perambulation might be kept and observed according to the boundaries found in the charter.
