Nature of request
The brothers of the Carmelite order in France make four requests:1) They ask to be received into the King's favour and grace, so that they might be able to live in Abbeville in France. And they ask him to write to the Mayor and inhabitants of Abbeville, so that they will receive them into their favour.2) They ask the King to write to his secular canons in Abbeville, and especially to their college, to take them under their wings for the promotion of their order and the increase of divine service.3) They ask the King to write to the Bishop of Amiens to allow them to celebrate divine service in Abbeville.4) They ask the King to write to the Seneschal of Ponthieu to aid and counsel them in Abbeville, according to their reasonable need.
