- The abbot requests the king's grace and the restitution of 100s. that he has paid to the sheriff concerning the death of a monk at the grange of Rufford of which another monk has been accused. That monk has now been delivered to Nottingham Prison, and he requests that he also be restored as he is subject to Church law.

- Concerning the body of the brother he should have a writ if he wishes, through which it might be known whether he is guilty or not, because if he is found guilty he will be delivered to him as a condemned man if he asks. With regard to the 100s, the barons of the Exchequer will be ordered to hear the abbot and sheriff and do what ought to be done.
