- Ralph Bateman makes several complaints against John Terell and Edward his brother, and their allies, in the matter of a dispute between them, and asks that he and Edward might present their evidence to the King and lords, for them to judge between them. He also complains that they have used force and threats in the taking of an assize between them, that they have assaulted him, and that, in collusion with John Tiptofte, justice of the peace in Cambridgeshire, and with Nicholas Caldecote and Warren Ingeryth, have brought false accusations against him, so that he is on the point of being outlawed for felony. He asks for a writ of conspiracy against the conspirators.
