Nature of request
Henry Kyghley states that he sued a writ against Thurstan, son of Thurstan Gylibrand, concerning tenements in Astley in Lancashire, the process on which has continued for fourteen years and more, to his great trouble and expense, and asks the commons to ask the King, with the advice and assent of the lords and by authority of parliament, that if Thurstan purchases any kind of protection and it can be shown that he is still in England, the protection might be disallowed, and the petitioner have judgment in the case, and be able to sue for execution of that judgment.
