Nature of request
Isabel, widow of Robert de Wetelegh of Palterton, states that on the Sunday within the quinzaine of Michaelmas twelve years ago, John le Feuere of Palterton and others came by night to Palterton and stole 5 charters which her husband had left in her keeping, for tenements held for the use of Robert, his son and heir. John le Feuere also came by night on the Tuesday before Michaelmas in the King's third year, and carried off her corn. He also robbed her again the following Michaelmas, and attacked her so badly that she has lost the use of the left-hand side of her body, and beat her son. She requests a remedy from the King and council.
Nature of endorsement
Writ - Nottingham and Derby.She is to sue at common law; and the Chancellor is to be ordered to give her a remedy according to the law and custom of the realm.
