The Cordwainers' Guild of London request action against certain aliens, called 'cobblers', who are working in the city without regard for the guild's franchises and other rules and ordinances.
Nature of endorsement
On 2 May 5 [Henry IV], it was presented in the council to the Archbishop of Canterbury [etc.]. It was agreed that a writ be sent to the mayor and sheriffs of London, ordering them to send a copy of the rules and ordinances to the council.
