[The petition is damaged with a portion from the right-hand side of the petition missing]. Helaund requests that he be granted . . . of the manor . . . in the hand of the king . . .

Because he has been in the king's service, let it be done if it pleases the king.It pleases the king by attestation of the chancellor.

The petition is speculatively dated to c. 1300-c. 1325 on the basis of the hand.
