Nature of request
The prior requests that since Bozun has no means of further remedy in a suit brought against him by the prior, that the supersedeas that he obtained be repealed, and he be be sent back to prison until he makes redress to the church. Bozun was excommunicated by the archbishop of Canterbury at the prior's suit and was imprisoned, but he came and alleged by a false allegation that he had appealed to the court of Rome and had purchased a bull, and that the appeal was still pending there, though his appeal had been refused as he had not appealed in time, and he was without a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
He should sue to the archbishop of Canterbury for new letters . . . and he should have there a writ to retake Bozun.
