Chaucer requests that a remedy is ordained so that the king is answered of his prises of wine in the port of Bristol as it is in all other ports in England, or that letters of the privy seal or writs of Chancery be directed to the burgesses and merchants of Bristol to come and show why they should not answer for the prises in this manner, and if judgment is given against them that they pay the prises.
