Jorge requests remedy as Despenser and others disseised him of the manor of Marston Meysey, and subsequently imprisoned him refusing him delivery if he did not release his rights in the manor. John de Meysey had enfeoffed him, his wife and son in the manor.

Nature of endorsement

Faithful people are to be assigned in Chancery to enquire of the disseisin and of other matters touching it in the presence of the keeper, and of the imprisonment and other matters touching it, and when the inquisition has been returned into Chancery let the justices examine the muniments of Despenser to see if they are able to find anything to exclude the demand of the petitioner.
