Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated on the guard to 1293-1328, with reference to CPR 1292-1301, p. 405, a 1299 grant to David, bishop of St Davids, mentioning the king's grant to Thomas, bishop of St Davids, of the advowson of Llanrhystyd which had fallen into the king's hands by the forfeiture of its patron. Rees, Petitions Relating to Wales, pp. 276-7, dates the petition to 1299-1300, believing that it must have post-dated this grant. This petition is probably detached from SC 8/158/7854.
