Note (Additional information about the record)
- A guard note ascribes this petition to 'Ed. II'. However, the hand, the content, and the mention of service to the late king, would seem to ascribe this petition to the aftermath of the war of St Sardos, and the mention of the petitioner's lands having been in French hands for seven years would suggest a date of c. 1331-1334. This date is confirmed by SC 8/293/14607, in which Peter de Mon Caup petitions on behalf of the petitioner.
