Transmits further communication on the case of asking for the King's mercy for an enslaved person called José, sentenced to death for assault; item includes draft reply from the Secretary of State; forwards a petition in favour of José from inhabitants of Carriacou, signed by Judith Philip ['owner' of José]; George McLean; Thomas Duvis JP; Daniel Polson JP; William McLeod; D Blair, Surgeon; Alex.
