Clavering to Holdernesse: the capitulation of Berlin. He encloses a copy of a 'Letter of Intelligence No. 1' [SP 87/39/47]. A French plan to surprise the landgrave's guards and military chest at Hamburg. He encloses a memorial from the landgrave on the loss of some of his field guns [SP 87/39/48] and an extract of 'Letter No. 2' [SP 87/39/49] which lends credence to a report that the king of Prussia has beaten the Austrians. His pleasure at successes in Canada. Dated at Brunswick. PS. that he is enclosing 'Copy No. 3' of an intercepted letter [SP 87/39/50] from an Austrian officer. ff. 115-118
