Cumberland to Harrington: measures for the defence of Ostend. There is no sign of the French detaching troops to the Rhine. He cannot defend both Brussels and Antwerp, and would prefer the latter. He encloses a copy of his letter to Saxe [SP 87/17/119] on the recovery of prisoners of war. He encloses a letter from [Thomas] Jones, commissary of stores in Antwerp [SP 87/17/117]. Dated at camp at Zaventem. PS. on the governor of Sluys. ff. 278-280
