Cumberland to Harrington, enclosing a copy of the treaty with the Austrians signed by Ligonier. Considerations of cost and rates of exchange. Arrival of Hanoverian troops from Luxembourg and Brussels. He encloses a costing of the convention. [SP 87/17/63]. Recruitment by the enemy of Scottish and Irish troops, deserters and seamen. Considerations for a general plan of action. Progress of the siege of the citadel of Tournai. He has sent Albemarle and Crauford to the enemy to try to negotiate a cartel for the exchange of prisoners. They have been ordered not to include Belle-Isle. Proposal for a canal at Ostend. Dated at camp at Lessines. ff. 136-140
