Description

Response to Stair's two memorials by Arenberg and Neipperg: the movement of Stair's armies will have great influence in the Rhineland. The requisitorial letters for the Austrian troops have already been sent. The proposed destinations of Stair's troops conflict with their orders. The electors, princes etc, through whose territory they will pass may complain to the [imperial] diet. Nevertheless, convinced of the king's and Stair's good intentions, they will concert with Stair on the day of departure. ff. 13, 14
