General Clayton to Carteret: he encloses dispositions of the march of the army prepared by Stair, who does not intend to advance beyond Juliers until the following April. Colonel [Humphrey] Bland is in Juliers reconnoitring for food and fodder. Stair has not sent recruiters to England pending his proposal of another scheme. He requests to return to London. Dated at Ghent. PS. on forage. ff. 246, 247
