General Clayton to Carteret: he encloses dispositions of the march of the army prepared by Stair, who does not intend to advance beyond Juliers until the following April. Colonel [Humphrey] Bland is in Juliers reconnoitring for food and fodder. Stair has not sent recruiters to England pending his proposal of another scheme. He requests to return to London.
