Stair to Carteret : the artillery from Holland has been sent to Ghent. Bread, wagons, horses and artillery horses have been bespoken, but the Austrians are in need of money. Shortage of engineers in Flanders and at Prague. He encloses accounts of the siege. Fenélon is to ask the States General to take possession of Dunkirk. Ill health of Cardinal Fleury. The duke of Nouailles is to command in Flanders. His conversation with the pensionary on Dunkirk. [Next day] Ligonier and Lascelles have arrived, and he has arranged for them to meet with Neipperg and Arenberg. Dated at The Hague. ff. 35-39
