John Clevland. Captain Parker of the Brilliant at Plymouth, informs that his books have been ready but the Clerk of the Cheque had never been on board to muster until the first of this month which is why she was not mustered. The Clerk of the Cheque reports his clerk went on board to muster in the Sound and was told by Lieutenant Crook that there was no book. A week later the weather was too bad and on the 25th the clerk went on board twice in Hamoaze and was told by the Master that he could not get at the book
