John Clevland. Have asked Commissioner Colby about the best place at Halifax to make a careening wharf and he opines has suggested Cornwallis Island. The wharf hired by Vice Admiral Boscawen is suitable if it is lengthened and can be ready sooner and at less expense. Propose that the wharf and its storehouses should be hired or purchased. Will send out a proper person to perform the work
