Description

John Clevland. Commissioner Hughes informs that the capstan and chain at the mouth of Portsmouth Harbour and the booms there, need repair. The Officers find the capstans greatly decayed and propose shifting the chain from the Southernmost Claw on Blockhouse side to the Northermost and put new chain with a swivel to the Southern Claw, with an estimate
