John Clevland. Captain Hanway asks for the removal of a stop on his wages for two tickets wrongly made out when commanding the Mortar Sloop. The tickets were for George Sabiter and Thomas Wyles, servants to the 2nd Master of the Mortar Sloop. The former ticket was taken in payment by Francis Magnus as part of a debt and the latter was regularly assigned to Thomas Parr. We pointed out in August and September that Masters are not allowed 2nd servants and the purchasers were ignorant of this and we were directed to stop his pay
