John Clevland. Samuel Jemmat has asked to be paid his and his servant's wages for when he was Purser of the Vulture Sloop. He was appointed Purser by Admiralty warrant in May 1744 but did not appear until October when he was entered but he supplied the Sloop with necessaries and has passed a victualling account until he was superceded. Opine he may be paid but not for a servant, none being borne.
