Copy letter from Commissioner Vanbrugh at Plymouth to the Board. This morning three men from the Saltash Lighter arrived by land from Port Isaack near Padstow and informed that three transports, the Lyon Hoy, Samuel Wakerell, Forrester, John Sier and Saltash, John Delamott, were cast away near Port Isaackh in the night, laden with timber from Gatcombe and give particulars of their fate. Has sent Henry Tolcher, Clerk of the Survey here and a Quarterman to assist in saving stores.
