Josiah Burchett. The Master Attendant at Woolwich, Mr Tiddeman, reports that the Duke will be ready to sail for Chatham by the end of the week, has mustered 140 men and asks for 260 more. One hundred and forty men can be ordered from the Guardships at Chatham and Sheerness and 50 from the Yachts listed in the margin, with officers. Mr Tiddeman, can take her to Chatham to be laid up. The men working on the lighters to deepen the Deptford moorings have not yet been able to make sufficient depth for riding the Revenge on float at low water. Propose that the men who take the Duke to Chatham are ordered to take the Northumberland to Woolwich. The Deptford Storeship has arrived with a quantity of decayed stores that could be received at Deptford. Propose the Commander is ordered to bring the ship to Woolwich and lay her at one of the moorings there until she can be moored at Deptford and the men may be kept on board putting stores into lighters and continued in pay for rigging the Boyne when she is launched
