Nature of request
The petition complains that in the royal shires and lordships of Wales and those of the Duchy of Lancaster in those parts, people, goods and chattels are taken under colour of distress by people who have no fee, lordship or reason to take such distresses, and that they are taken into other parts of England or Wales, and that this leads to violence and lawlessness. They ask that this might in future be considered as felony, and punished as such.

[On face] Let it be delivered to the lords.[On dorse] The King wills it, to last for five years.
