John Talbot, sergeant-at-arms, and formerly servant to Thomas, Duke of Clarence, states that he had letters patent for an annuity to be received at the Exchequer, which, because of a difference of opinion among the Barons of the Exchequer about them, he returned to Chancery to be cancelled. The Barons of the Exchequer are now questioning the validity of these letters, whereas he understands that they were perfectly valid, and merely returned because of the difference of opinion.
