Adam de Thorp asks for a writ of Chancery to have the indictment made in Chancery by a oyer et terminer at the suit of Alexander, Archbishop of York, against Adam de Thorp, Robert de Neuton and William Proktour of Wheldrake, for a trespass allegedly committed in the hay of Langwith, brought before the King, as it will be found to be prejudicial to the King and the Prince of Wales. This hay was amortized to the Dean and Chapter of York by Edward I, but now the Archbishop has entered it, and his servants have inflicted various grievances on Adam. He requests a remedy, both for the Dean and Chapter, and for himself.
