- John de Nicole requests remedy, stating that he made purveyances under a spoken agreement with the King's father, and petitioned an earlier parliament at Westminster for payment. This was ordered, and a copy of the writ to the Treasurer and Barons is attached, but when he presented his account at the Exchequer, they refused to make payment as he did not have written proof of the original order.
- Nature of endorsement
- Because he has shown the Council a privy seal letter ordering the purveyance, and because members of the Council have testified that the King made such a verbal order, the Treasurer, Barons and Chamberlains of the Exchequer are ordered to audit the account if they have not already done so, and to make the necessary payments or assignments, despite the lack of documentation.
