- Herbert de Mareys seeks remedy in his case against the Abbot of Cleeve concerning lands in Huntspill granted to the former Abbot Henry by his grandfather William. He states that these lands had been given for the foundation of chantries for the souls of his grandfather, his ancestors and heirs, but that the abbot had since alienated the lands to Thomas Tryvet, father of the Thomas Tryvet who now holds them. He has therefore sued a writ against the present Abbot, but the justices have postponed the case, and he therefore requests either that the justices be ordered to come to judgment according to the original writ, or that right is done in some other manner.
