Nature of request
Lovell requests that the executors of the will of Henry V make payment of various sums owed to him by the late king. He lists a variety of loans which he had negotiated on the late king's behalf and which he had since repaid himself, for which he now requests restitution. He claims that the accounts of his debts were taken and kept from him by Courtenay until he was forced to alienate his castle at Wardour, and he is now impoverished and asks the executors for payment. He also lists other loans negotiated with other individuals, whose executors are now pursuing him for payment in the courts.
