Wade [to Carteret]: Arenberg has held a council of war to consider a proposal to move the army to Casteau, near Mons. This was defeated by the vote of the British and Hanoverians. The French have taken Courtrai. Wade has sent reinforcements to Ghent. 10,000 men have crossed the Scheldt under Count Saxe. Dated at camp near Asch. ff. 109, 110
