Description

Carteret to Major General Sinclair or the officer commanding his majesty's troops lately embarked at Gravesend for Ostend: if on arrival at Ostend he finds the French have blocked his route to the confederate army, he is to sail for Willemstad, send this messenger to Wade for orders, and inform Trevor. Dated (OS) at Whitehall. PS. enclosing an order from the Admiralty for the convoy commander. ff. 102, 103
