Newcastle to Stair: in Carteret's absence, Newcastle sent Stair's dispatch after the king to Holland. The king was forced by the wind to return to Sheerness. Newcastle has informed Carteret of the substance of Stair's dispatch, and the king approves of Stair's preparations to make himself master of the passage of the Main.
