Description

Josiah Burchett. The clerks have been asked to recommend appropriate compensation to John Holland, for piloting the Norton tender between Spithead and Alderney in October. They ask for a standard settlement in these cases as Edmund Underdown who piloted the Charming Jenny Tender for the Captain of the Biddeford when recruiting men on the north coast, was paid as if he had been piloting a Naval ship
