Holdernesse to Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick: the king is content to undertake the payment of the 2,000 troops offered by the duke of Brunswick, and would be willing to take a further 1,000 should circumstances permit. The treaty will be based on that with the landgrave of Hesse. The king has also agreed to augment the light troops. Dated at Whitehall. ff. 58-60
