Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to George II: he is hopeful that the landgrave of Hesse will accept the king's offer of £60,000. The duke of Marlborough should arrive next day with his force at Coesfeld. He has reports that Soubise has taken Paderborn and is advancing on Münster. His crossing of the Rhine was long and difficult, but Colonel Durand will describe it to Holdernesse. Dated at 'Ober Elte'. ff. 22, 23
