Nature of request
Fitz Walter requests that a writ be commanded to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer and to the Wardrobe to search their records concerning the net sums owed by Fitz Walter to the king. He requests that he is not distrained for these while he is being tried, that money owed to him for his service in Gascony be allowed, and the remainder that he owes be paid in instalments.1)
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege.2) He should have a writ in Chancery to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer and that they should do according to the form of the petitions, and the king wishes it thus.
