- The petitioners seek a remedy for great damages and oppressions done to the people of Cornwall. They state that certain people in the said county have certain lands and tenements of the king and his progenitors to serve the king's hundreds through the office of hundred bailiff and have leased to farm the said office to others retained from year to year for great sums of silver, for which the said farmers have the corn harvest and extort other goods for sale to great estates and render their farms to their lessors to the great damage and oppression of the people of the county.
