The petitioner seeks confirmation of his full rights as a loyal subject of the king of England. He states that he once resided in Guelders, outside the realm, but has resided in England since he was twelve years of age (licensed by the authority of parliament), established and reputed in all matters to be a true liege man of the king within the realm of England, qualified to hold, purchase, enquire, grant, alienate and inherit etc., and to hold land, tenements, rents, advowsons, services, reversions and other possessions of whatever kind etc., with the right to pursue all manner of actions and legal disputes in the king's courts and in any other court etc.
