- John Blakeneye states that on 20 November last he chartered a ship belonging to William de Wyndesore, knight, to carry a cargo of herring from Great Yarmouth to Bordeaux, and to return to London with a cargo of wine; but that the ship became unseaworthy at Sandwich, on the outward journey, and William, refusing to repair it, unloaded John's merchandise and would not take it further. John has often petitioned him for his damages, but with no success. John asks that William be summoned before the King and council, to give him a remedy.
