The abbot requests a suitable remedy be ordained as although he is lord of the town the people of the town pursue him and make great claims upon him against reason and to the destruction of him and his house so that he and the monks are unable to make their alms and sing for the king and his progenitors.

Let good people be assigned to hear and determine both the suit of the king and of the party concerning the misprisons made in this part.
