Boyd to Holdernesse: the enemy have abandoned Paderborn, Lippstadt, Münster and Cassel, and are fortifying Wesel. Capture of Soest. He quotes from the account of an action performed at Lipsberg by Lieutenant Brunsing of the Hanoverian Hunters [Jäger] and an extract of a report from the duke of Holstein. Boyd may have to leave the army to settle last year's forage account. Dated at headquarters at 'Vrockenhorst'. ff. 16-19
