Description

R Irvine to [Under Secretary] James Wallace: the French minister of war, the marquis de Paulmy, has resigned and it is thought he will be replaced by Lieutenant General de Cremille. A considerable supply of provisions has arrived at Cape Breton and the embarkation at Brest of the fleet and troops for Canada is well advanced. Dated at Flushing. ff. 20, 21
