Nature of request
Jordan requests compensation in the tenements of Newcastle Lyons for life for the £13 of land that he has still not been granted from the £50 granted to him by the king and council at the parliament at Westminster for his service against Robert the Bruce. He further requests charters for the £50 of land. He adds that he has lost much after being captured taking messages to David de Bruys at the instigation of the earl of Ulster and the justice of Ireland.
Nature of endorsement
He should have letters patent of the £50 of land for his life if he has not already had them, and the justice of Ireland, chancellor and treasurer are ordered to give and assign to Jordan the £13 of land outstanding in Ireland for his life, and the king is to be certified of what land this is.

The petition dates to 1335 as Jordan received a grant of lands at Newcastle Lyons on 8 June 1335 (CPR 1334-8, p.133). The original grant was made around 1331 (C 47/10/19 no.8).
