The prior and convent request a remedy and that Byk be ordered to render their mill at Gringley to them, which mill they lost by the malicious actions of Bereford when he held the manor of Wheatley at farm from the queen.

A writ is to be sent on this petition to the bailiffs of Tickhill that they do this.

The petition dates to 1331 as Byk was ordered to restore the mill to the prior on 12 February 1331 (CCR 1330-3, p.197). He did not comply with this as the steward of Queen Philippa's lands was ordered to deliver it on 28 January 1332 (CCR 1330-3, p.433).
