Nature of request

The proctor of William de Weston states that when the King sent his master as an envoy to Spain, he took him and all his possessions, and especially his prebend of Leighton Buzzard into his protection, and that he, the proctor, fearing that some disturbance would be made in this prebend, delivered a petition to the present parliament: but that while that petition was pending, a great number of men expelled his master with force and arms from possession of the prebend, in despite of the King. He requests a remedy in this parliament, so that his lord's absence abroad might not harm him.
