- The petitioner states that he carried the wine and flour from Bordeaux to Newcastle in the king's sixteenth year (8 July 1322-7 July 1323): which accords with his statement in SC 8/75/3702 that he has a bill of the Wardrobe under the seal of Roger de Waltham, Keeper between 1 May 1322 and 20 October 1323 (the amounts in the two petitions, and in Sc 8/75/3704, tally). As the debt is owed by the present king, the petition must date from 1323-1327.
